Metrotenerife announces summer tram schedules with increased frequencies

Starting July 1, Metrotenerife will implement new summer tram schedules for Line 1 and Line 2, with increased frequencies during peak hours on weekdays and regular services on weekends.

Metrotenerife, the public transportation authority in Tenerife, has announced the activation of its summer tram schedules starting Monday, July 1. Here are the details:


Line 1 will operate with increased frequency during peak morning hours from 07:00 to 15:00, running every 6 minutes. After this period, the frequency will adjust to every 7, 7.5, and finally every 15 minutes until the service concludes at midnight.

Line 2 will maintain a consistent schedule throughout the morning, running every 12 minutes until 15:00. Post these hours, the trams will operate every 15 minutes.

This summer schedule will be effective from Monday to Friday. Weekend services will continue as usual, with regular frequencies and extended operational hours throughout the night.

An update to this schedule will take place starting Monday, July 8, to better accommodate summer demand. From this date, Line 1 will see trams every 7 minutes, while Line 2 will adjust to a 14-minute interval during weekdays.
