This weekend, the weather forecast for the Canary Islands as provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) suggests varied conditions across the region.
On Friday, the northern parts of the islands are expected to be cloudy up to altitudes between 800 and 1,000 metres, though skies should clear during the middle of the day. The other regions will likely experience partly cloudy to clear skies.

Temperature changes will be minimal, but there might be a slight decline in the inland areas, particularly on the southern slopes. Temperature readings are forecast to range from a high of 27 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz de Tenerife to a low of 20 degrees in San Sebastián de La Gomera.
Winds from the north to northeast will be moderate, with periods of stronger gusts on the southeast and northwest slopes, intensifying in the latter half of the day. Breezes are expected to be prevalent along the southwest coasts of the mountainous islands.

Maritime conditions will feature north or northeasterly winds at force 4 or 5, occasionally reaching 6 in the west and southeast, and possibly 7 offshore. Conditions will be calmer in the northern waters, at force 3 or 4. The sea will be rough or have heavy swells, with a north swell measuring 1 to 2 metres. The south coast will see variable conditions ranging from 1 to 3 with breezes, and the sea state may be rough or swollen.
