Clouds and light drizzle will persist until midday this Saturday in the northern parts of the islands. The weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) suggests that there could be clear skies in the north and a low probability of light rain in the midlands during the first half of the day, mainly in the northeast. In other areas, the skies will be partly cloudy or clear.
Additionally, a slight increase in maximum temperatures is expected in the west and at higher elevations. Temperatures will range from a high of 27 degrees Celsius in Tenerife to a low of 14 degrees Celsius on the island of El Hierro.
Winds will blow intermittently strong with occasional very strong gusts on the southeast slope and in the far northwest.
At sea, there will be north or northeast winds at force 4 or 5 along the southeast and northwest coasts, intensifying in the afternoon to forces 5 or 6, with northeast winds at 3 or 4 elsewhere. Expect swell or heavy swell, with a north swell around one metre. On the southwest coast, conditions will vary from 1 to 3, breezy with swell or heavy swell.
