The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has updated its weather forecast for the Canary Islands, indicating a shift from recent heat to more varied conditions, including clouds and drizzle in the north of the islands, clear skies elsewhere, and strong trade winds.


At sea, expect northeasterly winds of force 5 or 6, strong swell, and waves from the north ranging from 1 to 2 meters.

Partly cloudy skies with intervals of clouds in the north. Temperatures will remain stable. Occasionally strong trade winds.

GRAN CANARIA
In the north, expect cloudy skies that will clear during the central hours of the day, with occasional drizzle in the early and late hours, especially in the midlands. The rest of the island will have clear skies. Temperatures will remain stable, except for a decrease in the highs in the midlands and south-facing peaks. Trade winds will be strong at times on the southeastern and northwestern slopes, with breezes on the southwestern coasts. Summits will experience light winds of variable direction.

Temperatures will remain stable except for a drop in maximum temperatures in inland areas, which may be locally significant in mountain areas. Trade winds with strong intervals on southeastern and northwestern slopes, with breezes on southwestern coasts; light winds of variable direction on summits.
