La Victoria de Acentejo prepares for its most transformative event of the year with the 43rd Pilgrimage in honor of San Isidro Labrador.

This weekend, the municipality of La Victoria de Acentejo in the north of Tenerife will be transformed by the highly anticipated 43rd Pilgrimage in honor of San Isidro Labrador. This traditional event, which is the most popular celebration of the Patron Saint Fiestas, will take place on Saturday, August 24, beginning at 5:00 PM from the Cruz de El Tagoro.

The pilgrimage is expected to be a vibrant and lively event, with around 20 folklore groups set to participate, filling the streets with music and dance, and spreading joy to all attendees. Adding to the festive atmosphere, approximately 100 decorated carts and 12 oxen-pulled carts will parade along the traditional route to El Calvario.

Following the parade, a charity tombola will be held in the Town Hall square, and an offering will be made to San Isidro Labrador, accompanied by a Holy Mass at the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación. The evening will continue with a dance featuring Elicio on the esplanade outside the Town Hall, and a disco at Las Cantinas in the Plaza del Pino that will keep the celebrations going until 5:00 AM.
