The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a forecast for this Monday, predicting cloudy skies during the early morning on the northern and northeastern slopes of the Canary Islands, with a trend towards clearer skies during the central hours of the day. The rest of the archipelago will experience partly cloudy or mostly clear conditions.
Temperatures are expected to rise, particularly in the midlands and on the peaks. The maximum temperature will reach 27 degrees Celsius in Tenerife, while the minimum will drop to 16 degrees Celsius on the island of El Hierro.
Winds will blow moderately from the northeast, with strong gusts expected in the latter half of the day, especially in low-lying areas and along the southeast coast. At higher elevations, moderate south-westerly winds are expected, with strong gusts during the first half of the day. Breezes are also forecast along the west coasts.
Marine Conditions in the Canary Islands
Regarding the state of the sea, a north to northeasterly wind of force 3 or 4 is expected, increasing to force 4 or 5, with moderate seas or swells. On the southwest coasts, variable winds of force 1 to 3 are forecast, accompanied by rough seas or swells. Additionally, there will be a north or northeast swell, with waves reaching up to 1 metre.
