The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting highs of up to 30 degrees Celsius in the Canary Islands this Saturday, with moderate winds from the east and northeast. These winds will be particularly strong on the eastern slopes and the extreme northwest during the early hours, before easing later in the day.
General Weather Conditions
In the northern regions of the islands, below altitudes of 800 to 900 metres, cloudy intervals are expected in the morning, transitioning to clearer skies by the afternoon. In the rest of the areas, the skies will remain mostly clear throughout the day.
Temperatures will remain stable, with Tenerife expected to reach a maximum of 29 degrees, while the island of El Hierro will see minimum temperatures around 19 degrees.
Winds and Breezes

Winds will blow moderately from the east and northeast, with intervals of stronger gusts in the early hours, especially along the eastern and northwestern slopes. By the afternoon, winds will lighten, with breezes becoming more noticeable along the southwest coasts.
Province of Las Palmas
In the province of Las Palmas, the northern parts of Gran Canaria, at altitudes below 700 to 800 metres, will experience cloudy intervals in the morning, clearing later in the day. The rest of the island will see clear or slightly cloudy skies with intermittent clouds in the east.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are expected to have partly cloudy skies, with intervals of clouds in the north and west during the first half of the day.
Temperatures in Las Palmas

Minimum temperatures will either remain unchanged or drop slightly, particularly in inland and southern areas. Maximum temperatures may decrease slightly in the southern and western regions, while the eastern areas could see a slight rise. Temperatures in the southern midlands could still reach around 30ºC, while in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will range from a high of 26ºC to a low of 22ºC.
Moderate winds from the northeast will dominate, with stronger gusts on the southeast and northwest of the island, especially during the first half of the day. Winds will ease by the afternoon, and breezes will develop along the southwest coasts.
