The Canary Islands continue to experience the effects of the calima, according to the latest forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Today’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy or clear, with cloudy intervals developing on the northern slopes by evening. A light haze will persist throughout the day, though it is predicted to gradually subside.
Temperatures are forecast to decrease moderately, with inland areas potentially experiencing a more pronounced drop, particularly in the highlands. In terms of wind, moderate breezes from the northeast will prevail, contributing to cooler conditions.
In Gran Canaria, skies will be partly cloudy or clear, with more cloud cover expected on the northern slopes by the end of the day. Similarly, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will see a moderate temperature drop, especially in their inland areas, accompanied by a light northeastern wind and some dissipating haze.
