The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued its forecast for this Saturday in the Canary Islands, warning of a continued, albeit low, threat of rain across certain areas, while temperatures are expected to remain largely stable, with some variations at higher altitudes.
Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife
In the western province, which includes Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro, the weather will generally be predominantly clear, particularly in inland and southern areas. However, intervals of low cloud are expected during the morning, especially in northern parts of the islands. As the day progresses, cloud cover is likely to increase in both the northern and southeastern regions, with a low probability of light, scattered and occasional rainfall, mainly affecting the southeast.

The summits and high-altitude zones are forecast to remain mostly clear throughout the day, providing good visibility and dry conditions in those areas.
In terms of temperature, no significant changes are expected in low-lying coastal zones. However, there will be a slight to moderate increase in both daytime highs and nighttime lows in mid-altitude and mountainous regions, particularly during the afternoon hours. For reference, Tenerife may reach highs of up to 24°C, while El Hierro could experience early morning lows around 12°C.
Winds will generally be light and northerly, with a breezy pattern prevailing. Moderate gusts from the west are expected along the western and southern coastal areas during the day. At higher elevations, moderate westerly winds are forecast.
Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote

On Gran Canaria, the outlook is similar: mainly clear skies will dominate, with some low cloud during the early morning in northern areas. As the day unfolds, cloud development is anticipated in the south, though significant rainfall is not expected.
In the eastern islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, skies will be clear or mostly clear overall, with only occasional low cloud during the early hours, particularly over western zones.
Temperature-wise, the pattern remains stable across the eastern islands, although maximum temperatures in the mountainous and mid-altitude areas may rise slightly to moderately, particularly during the afternoon. Daily temperatures are forecast to fluctuate between a maximum of around 23°C and a minimum of 19°C.
Winds will be light to moderate from the north, becoming moderate along the southeastern slopes and in the far north-western zones. Coastal areas in the south can expect a regime of gentle breezes, providing some relief during warmer parts of the day.
