The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has updated its weather forecast for this Sunday across the Canary Islands, warning of generally cloudy conditions in northern areas below 1,200 to 1,300 metres, particularly during the early morning and evening hours. While no widespread rainfall is expected, there is a low probability of light and occasional drizzle, especially in the north-eastern midlands.
In contrast, the high mountain areas will see mostly clear skies, and the rest of the islands can expect partly cloudy weather, with more consistent cloud cover in the west during the morning.
Temperatures: Mild on the Coast, Cooler Inland

According to AEMET, coastal temperatures will remain largely stable, while moderate drops are expected in mid-altitude and mountainous regions.
- Tenerife: Highs around 28 °C
- El Hierro: Lows down to 16 °C
Wind Conditions
- Moderate trade winds will prevail, with stronger gusts expected:
- In the north-western extremes
- On the southern slopes of the metropolitan zones
- Breezes will dominate along south-western coasts
- In central mountain peaks, north-westerly winds will ease and shift to light westerly breezes by the afternoon.
Province of Las Palmas: Cloudy North, Clearer South
Gran Canaria
The northern parts of the island, especially below 1,300 metres, will experience predominantly cloudy skies, with brief sunny spells around midday. There is a slight chance of isolated drizzle, particularly in the early morning and late afternoon.
In the rest of the island, skies will be partly cloudy or clear throughout the day.

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura
- Cloudy conditions are expected during the early morning and evening hours.
- The remainder of the day will be marked by partly cloudy skies.
Temperature Outlook
Temperatures across the province will remain largely unchanged along the coast, with a slight drop inland, particularly in southern regions.
- In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, values are expected to range from 21 °C to 24 °C.
Wind Forecast for the Province
- Moderate trade winds will be consistent across most areas.
- Stronger gusts are possible in the southeast and western zones.
- Breezes will prevail on the south-western coastline.
While the weekend brings no severe weather, the brief respite from recent high temperatures may be short-lived — AEMET anticipates the return of intense heat in the coming days.
