The Sate Meteorological Agency (Aemet) anticipates an unsettled day across the Canary Islands this Tuesday, with a mix of cloudy skies, occasional rain, and a notable drop in temperatures.
General Outlook
- Cloud cover: In the north of the mountainous islands, skies will remain mostly cloudy, although brighter intervals are likely during the central hours of the day. Light and scattered showers may occur, particularly in the north-eastern midlands. Elsewhere across the archipelago, skies will be slightly cloudy or clear, with occasional patches of high cloud.
- Calima: A light haze will persist during the morning, gradually clearing as the day progresses. However, in the southern midlands, calima may linger longer.
- Temperatures: A general decline in temperatures is forecast throughout the islands. Highs will reach 27°C in Lanzarote, while the coolest point will be 17°C in El Hierro.
- Wind: Northeasterly winds will blow at moderate to strong intensity, with locally very strong gusts expected on the southeast and northwest slopes of the mountainous islands and in summit areas. Coastal zones in the southwest should experience gentler breezes.
- Sea conditions: Maritime weather will remain rough. Winds of force 4 to 5 are forecast, reaching force 6 and even 7 locally. Seas will range from swell to heavy swell, while on the western, south-western and southern coasts, lighter variable winds of force 2 to 3 will produce slight to moderate seas. A north swell of 1–2 metres is also expected, accompanied at times by showers, isolated thunderstorms and temporarily poor visibility.

- Fuerteventura: Partly cloudy with intervals of high cloud. Slight drop in temperatures. In Puerto del Rosario, between 22°C and 25°C.
- Gran Canaria: Cloudy in the north with a chance of light rain in the midlands. Calima fading. Cooler weather. In Las Palmas, 22°C to 25°C.
- Tenerife: Cloudy in the north, with light rain possible in the north-eastern midlands. Calima gradually clearing. In Santa Cruz, 22°C to 26°C.
- La Gomera: Variable cloud cover in the north, with a low chance of rain in the midlands. In San Sebastián, 23°C to 27°C.
- La Palma: Cloudy in the north and east, with occasional showers possible in the midlands. Temperatures declining. In Santa Cruz, 22°C to 24°C.
- El Hierro: Generally clear skies, with some cloud intervals in the north. In Valverde, 17°C to 21°C.
