Atlantic front to bring rain and strong winds to the Canary Islands

Aemet forecasts a change in the weather in the Canary Islands due to an Atlantic front, bringing occasional light rain, stronger winds in Tenerife’s high areas, and slightly warmer temperatures inland.

The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has updated the weather forecast for the Canary Islands for Wednesday, 29 October 2025, indicating that a change in weather is expected due to the arrival of an Atlantic front.

According to the latest update, strong gusts of wind are expected, particularly at higher altitudes in Tenerife during the early hours of the morning. This front is part of a larger weather system that will reach mainland Spain with greater intensity, but it will still have an impact on the archipelago, bringing generally light and occasional showers.

Meteorologist Samuel Biener, quoted by El Español, warned that the arrival of this front will lead to brief but noticeable downpours in certain areas of the islands.
