The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a day of hazy skies and mild cooling across the Canary Islands, with cloudy intervals and a gradual clearing of dust as the day progresses.
According to Aemet, partly cloudy conditions are expected throughout the morning, with intervals of high cloud cover. From midday onwards, clouds will increase in inland areas and along the southern slopes, where light and occasional showers cannot be ruled out.
A layer of haze (calima) will persist over much of the archipelago, clearing first in low-lying coastal areas during the morning, and later in the mid-altitude regions by late afternoon.
Temperatures will fall slightly to moderately, with highs around 23°C in Tenerife and lows near 17°C in El Hierro.

Winds will blow moderately from the northeast, becoming stronger from midday in the southeast and northwest, while breezes will prevail along southwestern coasts.
The Island of Gran Canaria
In Gran Canaria, skies will remain partly cloudy for most of the day, with occasional intervals of thicker cloud over the southern areas during the afternoon, and a trend towards greater cloudiness in the north by evening.
As elsewhere, hazy conditions will linger but will gradually clear—first in lower elevations from the morning, and then in mid-altitude zones from late afternoon.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura

On Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, partly cloudy skies are forecast, with more clouds developing in the north and west later in the afternoon. A high-altitude haze will also be present early in the day, dissipating gradually as the day advances.
Temperatures will show a slight to moderate decrease. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will range from 21°C to 23°C.
Winds will be moderate from the northeast, with strong gusts possible in the extreme southeast and northwest from midday, and light coastal breezes along the southwest.
Aemet notes that the haze will continue to weaken across the archipelago as cooler air moves in, marking a gradual return to clearer skies over the coming days.
