The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a wet start to the week in the Canary Islands. Cloudy skies will dominate the north of the archipelago, where rainfall is likely, especially during the early morning, when showers may be more frequent and intense. From midday onwards, precipitation is expected to become lighter and more occasional.
Across the rest of the islands, the day will bring intervals of cloud, with more widespread cloud cover around midday. During these central hours, occasional showers cannot be ruled out, particularly across mid-altitude areas.

Temperatures
Temperatures will stay mostly steady, though a slight decrease in maximum values is expected in the southern and western midlands. Forecasts indicate highs of around 23°C on Tenerife and lows of about 14°C on El Hierro.
Wind
A moderate trade wind will prevail, occasionally strengthening along southeastern slopes and the far northwest. In the western areas, coastal breezes will be more noticeable. Across the central peaks, winds will blow moderately from the north.
Island-by-island forecast

Gran Canaria
The north of the island will see persistent cloud and rain, again heaviest and most frequent during the early morning before easing to light, intermittent showers from midday onwards. Elsewhere on the island, cloudy intervals are forecast, with a chance of occasional rain during the first half of the day.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura
Both islands will experience cloudy intervals, with the possibility of light, sporadic showers during the early hours, gradually diminishing as the morning progresses. Temperatures will remain largely stable, except for slight drops in daytime highs.
In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures are forecast to range between 19°C and 22°C. Winds will consist of moderate trade winds, with stronger gusts in the southeast, northwest, and mountainous areas, while breezes will dominate in the southwest.
