The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts a day of cloudiness and unsettled coastal conditions this Thursday across the Canary Islands. In the north and northeast of the archipelago, cloudy intervals are expected, with only a low chance of light, occasional showers during the early hours of the morning. From midday onwards, cloud cover will increase in the west, while high clouds will dominate in the rest of the islands.
Temperatures
Temperatures will change very little, reaching highs of around 22°C in Tenerife and lows of 13°C in El Hierro.
Wind
Moderate northeasterly winds will prevail, with strong intervals in the southeast and west, while breezes will dominate along the south-west coast.
Sea conditions
Northeasterly winds of force 4 to 6 will generate swell or heavy swell, while a north-west swell is forecast to rise from 1–2 metres to 3–4 metres throughout the day. On the west coast, variable winds of force 1 to 3 will create choppy seas.
Yellow coastal warnings

AEMET keeps yellow warnings active for hazardous coastal phenomena in several parts of the archipelago:
Lanzarote
- From 8 p.m. Wednesday to 9 p.m. Thursday
- Combined northern seas up to 4 metres offshore
