The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a Friday marked by cloudy intervals in the north and northeast of the Canary Islands, while mostly clear skies will prevail elsewhere.
During the afternoon and evening, an increase in mid- and high-level cloud is expected across the archipelago.
Temperatures
Little variation is anticipated, with highs of 23°C in Tenerife and lows of 14°C in El Hierro.
Winds
A moderate northeasterly wind will dominate, occasionally shifting to the east. In mountain areas, the wind will blow moderately from the east. Aemet has also warned that a special episode of calima at higher altitudes may begin affecting the islands from midday onwards.
Sea conditions
At sea, easterly or northeasterly winds of force 4 or 5 are expected, temporarily increasing to force 6 in the southeast and extreme northwest, producing strong swells. Near the northeast coast, winds of force 3 or 4 will generate heavy swells, while on the west coast, wave heights of 1 to 3 metres are forecast.
