The Canary Islands will experience another day of unsettled weather this Sunday, with widespread cloud cover and a high probability of light rainfall, particularly in inland areas. This is the latest forecast provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
General conditions across the archipelago
Temperatures will show minimal variation, remaining within typical seasonal values. Forecasts indicate highs of around 22°C in Fuerteventura and lows of 12°C in El Hierro.
Winds will generally be light and from the northwest. However, in the central peaks of the higher islands, winds may reach moderate intensity, with occasional strong gusts early in the day before easing during the afternoon.
Marine conditions
A north-westerly wind of force 3 or 4 will gradually decrease to force 2 or 3. Seas will range from moderate to rough, later easing to moderate, with a north-westerly swell of 1–2 metres, veering north along eastern coasts. In areas with variable winds, the sea state will remain choppy with force 1 to 3.
