The Canary Islands are set to experience another unsettled day of weather on Wednesday, with cloudy skies, further rainfall and periods of strong to very strong winds across much of the archipelago. Despite the unstable conditions, temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged, according to forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency.
Rainfall is likely to be most noticeable on the more mountainous islands, where showers may at times be locally moderate. Wind conditions will be a key factor throughout the day, with occasional very strong gusts forecast both on land and at sea.
Temperatures in the Capitals
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 21°C in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20°C in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, while minimum temperatures will hover around 16°C in both capitals. Overall, temperatures across the islands are forecast to show little variation compared to previous days.
Wind and Sea Conditions

Moderate north-easterly winds will prevail across the islands, strengthening at intervals and producing occasional very strong gusts, particularly in exposed areas and at higher altitudes.
At sea, north-easterly winds of force 5 to 6 are expected, with occasional increases to force 7. These conditions will generate strong swells or rough seas, alongside a north-origin swell of up to two metres, making maritime conditions challenging.
An early weather warning has been declared for the Canary Islands, coinciding with Three Kings Day, due to the combined impact of rain, wind and sea conditions.
