The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has published its weather forecast for Monday, pointing to generally settled conditions across the Canary Islands, with mostly clear skies and a slight to moderate rise in temperatures, particularly in mountainous areas.
Mostly clear skies with some cloud intervals
According to AEMET, skies will be clear or only slightly cloudy for much of the day. However, cloudy intervals may appear on south-facing slopes during the early hours, while north-eastern and eastern areas could see increased cloud cover during the second half of the day. Overall, sunshine will dominate, especially in coastal and low-lying areas.
Temperatures on the rise, frost still possible at altitude
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly to moderately in the mountains, while remaining largely unchanged elsewhere. Despite the general warming trend, light frosts cannot be ruled out at dawn in the central mountain areas, particularly on Tenerife.

Across the archipelago, maximum temperatures will reach around 22°C in Tenerife, while minimum values could drop to 9°C on El Hierro, highlighting the contrast between daytime warmth and cooler nights at higher elevations.
Light winds and coastal breezes
Winds will be light and variable, with sea breezes prevailing along the coast. In the central mountain peaks, winds will blow moderately from the north-west, gradually turning westerly towards the end of the day.
Gran Canaria: stable conditions
On Gran Canaria, skies will be partly cloudy, with morning cloud intervals in low-lying areas and cloudy periods on eastern and northern slopes later in the afternoon. Temperatures on the island will remain largely stable, with maximums around 20°C, while Fuerteventura may see minimum temperatures of around 14°C.

Winds on Gran Canaria will also be light and variable, with coastal breezes and a predominance of westerly winds in mountainous areas.
In summary, Monday will bring calm and mostly sunny weather to the Canary Islands, accompanied by a gradual increase in temperatures, especially inland and at altitude. While early-morning frosts remain a possibility in high mountain areas, conditions throughout the day are expected to be stable and favourable, marking a mild start to the week across the archipelago.
