The weather in the Canary Islands this Tuesday will be marked by cloud in the north of the archipelago, temperatures remaining largely unchanged and moderate north-easterly winds, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency, Aemet.
Temperatures are expected to exceed 30°C and may reach 32°C in localised areas of the south and east of Gran Canaria, the south-east of Fuerteventura and the south-facing slopes of Tenerife. Aemet also does not rule out light drizzle during the early and late hours of the day in the north-eastern areas of the western islands.
The trade winds will blow at moderate strength across the archipelago, although there will be periods of strong wind in the south-eastern and western extremes of the islands with the highest elevations. On the southern slopes of the Tenerife metropolitan area and on exposed slopes of the more mountainous islands, there is a low probability of very strong gusts.
At sea, north or north-easterly winds of force 4 or 5 are expected, together with moderate to rough seas and a northerly swell with waves between one and two metres high.
