Moderate weather alerts in the Canaries

The wind will blow occasionally strong on the northwest and southeast sides of the islands.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced a risk alert in the Canary Islands from Wednesday, when the wind is expected to blow occasionally strong on the north-western and south-eastern slopes of the archipelago.


There is a yellow alert for wind on La Palma in the late hours of 25 January, as well as a risk of adverse coastal phenomena on the islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma.

As for the AEMET forecast, the skies will be cloudy in the north with a low probability of light showers, with clearings opening up during the central hours. In the rest of the Canary Islands, cloudy skies will prevail.

Temperatures will remain the same as on previous days and the wind will blow on Wednesday from the northeast, generally moderate, and may occasionally be strong on the northwest and southeast slopes.
