Santa Cruz de Tenerife anticipates around 320 cruise ship visits this season

For the rest of the month, Tenerife's capital is set to welcome ten cruise ships making their inaugural visit.

The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has outlined a bustling schedule, anticipating around 320 cruise ship visits throughout the 2023-24 season. This includes ten cruise ships docking for the first time, bringing both passengers and crew to the island’s shores.


According to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port Authority (APSCTF), the Seabourn Venture will mark one of these initial visits, arriving from Dakar at 07:00 hours on Tuesday, 26th March. Managed locally by Hamilton y Cía. S.A., the ship spans 172 metres in length and 24 metres in width and is slated to depart for Agadir at 23:00 hours on the same day.

April will witness a flurry of activity with seven additional inaugural calls. Notably, the Emerald Sakara is set to arrive on the 17th, while the Norwegian Viva will follow on the 20th. Close on their heels, the Viking Sky and Celebrity Ascent are scheduled for the 22nd, a day that will see a total of five ships in the port, including the National Geographic Endurance, Norwegian Star, Sky Princess, and World Traveller.

The Viking Neptune and Nieuw Statendam are also anticipated later in the month, docking on the 24th and 26th respectively, with the Resilient Lady rounding out the month on the 30th, arriving from Casablanca at 08:00 hours and managed by Incargo S.L. This vessel, measuring 277 metres long and 42 metres wide, will depart at 17:00 hours for Valencia.

Moreover, the 24th promises to be a particularly bustling day with the arrival of five cruise ships, adding vibrancy to the port of Chicharrero. The calendar continues into May, with the Queen Anne making its inaugural call on Sunday, 19th at 07:00 hours. Represented by Hamilton y Cía. S.A., this colossal ship measures 323 metres in length and 40 metres in breadth, planning to depart at 17:00 hours for its next destination.

Lastly, the Serenade of the Seas is scheduled to arrive from Dakar on 12th June, adding to the season’s impressive lineup. This ship, boasting a length of 293 metres and a width of 40 metres, will set sail for Gibraltar at 20:00 hours, marking another significant visit in the vibrant cruise season of Tenerife.
