The ‘Mi Rincón Favorito’ contest has unveiled nine captivating images captured in the Canary Islands, vying for the top spot in the national category. These photographs showcase the most cherished locations for the participants and offer a glimpse into the beauty of the Canary Islands. The selected images, shared on Instagram, depict a diverse range of landscapes across the archipelago, from the enchanting Milky Way over Maspalomas’ dunes to a captivating sunset-kissed rock in La Laguna and a tribute to the Virgin of the Sailors in Adeje.
These photographers are competing for a chance to win one of the five top prizes and ten runner-up awards in the national category, with prizes ranging from 500 euros for the winner to 100 euros for fifth place. Additionally, ten runners-up will receive 50 euros each for their outstanding images. In total, ‘Mi Rincón Favorito’ will award 2,000 euros in prizes, with more than 3,000 images from across Spain participating in this year’s competition.
Samuel Rodríguez, the head of the ‘Mi Rincón Favorito’ competition, expressed the contest’s mission: “The goal of this competition is to promote tourism through images that hold a special significance for many people. Whether it’s their visual beauty or the emotions they evoke, participants introduce us to hidden corners or provide their unique perspective on familiar places.”
The selected entries will be gradually announced on the website www.mirinconfavorito.com until September 22, and the winners of the best-loved spots in Spain will be revealed on World Tourism Day, September 27.
