Record with a surprise: A passenger wins a free trip with lounge access on landing in Tenerife

In celebration of the milestone passenger count, the director of Tenerife airport greeted the '6 millionth' passenger directly on the aircraft.

In December, Tenerife’s two airports, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna and Tenerife South, hit record-breaking passenger numbers, indicating a surge in activity on the island for 2023, as reported by Aena. Tenerife Norte registered a historic 6 million passengers, while Tenerife South celebrated its first-ever 12 million passengers in a single year.

To mark these milestones, the director of Tenerife Norte Airport personally greeted the ‘6 millionth’ passenger, arriving from La Palma on a Binter flight, right at the plane’s entrance. The lucky passenger was not only informed of this special recognition but also received a complimentary ticket for two to the Nivaria VIP lounge. Additionally, Binter awarded her a free flight ticket along with a plus one to any of their destinations.
