The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast a Friday in the Canary Islands marked by partly cloudy skies, stable temperatures and the possibility of light showers in some areas. Although the day will generally remain calm, the forecast points to the arrival of typical summer rainfall in specific parts of the archipelago.
According to Aemet, skies will be partly cloudy across much of the Canary Islands, with some morning cloud cover affecting northern areas. During the day, cloud is also expected to develop in inland zones, particularly where daytime heating and local conditions favour the formation of more compact cloud.
Light showers cannot be ruled out, especially in mid-altitude areas and along parts of the southern coast. Any rainfall is expected to be weak and localised, without major accumulation, but it may briefly affect some areas during the day.
Temperatures remain stable, with highs of 30°C in Tenerife

Temperatures will show little change compared with previous days. The highest values are expected in Tenerife, where thermometers may reach 30°C, while the lowest temperatures will be recorded on El Hierro, with minimums of around 15°C.
Despite the possibility of rain in some places, the thermal pattern will remain summery, especially in warmer inland and southern areas. Coastal zones will continue to feel milder thanks to the influence of the breeze and the northerly wind.
Light to moderate northerly wind
The wind will blow from the north with light to moderate intensity. Breezes will predominate along both the northern and southern coasts, helping to soften temperatures in coastal areas.
At higher altitudes on Mount Teide, Aemet forecasts a moderate westerly wind. These conditions may be more noticeable in exposed high-altitude areas, although no major wind-related incidents are expected.
Forecast for Gran Canaria and the eastern islands
In Gran Canaria, skies will be mostly clear for much of the day, apart from some morning cloud in northern areas. Aemet also indicates the possibility of light rain in the mid-altitude zones, especially where cloud cover is more persistent.

During the day, cloud is expected to develop in the southern inland areas of the island, although conditions will generally remain stable.
Temperatures in the province of Las Palmas will remain largely unchanged. In Gran Canaria, maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 25°C, while the lowest values will be around 20°C on Fuerteventura.
The wind will blow from the north at light to moderate speeds. However, occasional strong gusts cannot be ruled out on the western and south-eastern slopes, where the terrain can intensify the wind. Along the south-western coast, breezes will be the dominant feature.
Overall, Friday will bring a mixture of sunshine, cloud and isolated light showers to the Canary Islands, with summer temperatures continuing and Tenerife expected to record the highest values of the day.
