The weather forecast in the Canary Islands for Sunday, 7th April, predicts predominantly cloudy intervals over the northern slopes, with a slight chance of weak and sporadic showers during the morning, followed by clearing skies in the afternoon. Across the southern slopes, the day will be partly cloudy with occasional light rainfall possible in the afternoon, as indicated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).


Temperature-wise, maximum temperatures will remain relatively unchanged, while minimum temperatures are expected to dip slightly, ranging from 24 degrees Celsius in Tenerife to 16 degrees Celsius on the island of El Hierro.

Winds are forecasted to blow moderately from the north, with lighter intervals, particularly in high areas of the eastern metropolitan region, where occasional strong gusts may occur. In the central peaks, northwest winds will prevail, increasing in strength towards the end of the day.

In Gran Canaria, cloudy intervals are expected over the northern slope, with a low chance of light showers during the morning, followed by clearing skies in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the rest of the island will experience mostly clear or slightly cloudy conditions.

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are anticipated to have generally cloudy intervals, with partially cloudy skies during midday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will be slightly cooler, with maximum temperatures reaching 23°C and minimum temperatures at 18°C.

Winds will predominantly come from the north, with moderate northerly winds and occasional stronger gusts expected on the eastern and western slopes, particularly towards the end of the day.
